We offer flexible hours, a reasonable payment, an independent work environment and a chance to make friends for life. We also give people a unique opportunity to care for their beloved senior family members and make money at the same time, which is a huge relief for a lot of individuals.

While the average salary of a caregiver across the U.S. is $12.50 per hour, we pay $17.00 per hour and provide a couple of other appealing benefits, which are mentioned below. So, let’s look at the breakdown of our employee compensation policy.

Caregivers’ salary at Open Door Home Care, New York

  1. Total employee compensation – $21.09 per hour.
  2. Employee salary – $17.00 per hour.
  3. Vacation and sick leave – $0.69 per hour.
  4. Transit benefits and health benefits – $3.40 per hour.
  5. Overtime salary – $25.50 per hour.

The aforementioned employee salary ($17.00 per hour) is the minimal pay that may be increased to $21.00 per hour, which, when combined with the vacation and sick leave payments, transit benefits and medical coverage, will bring the total employee compensation to $21,09 per hour.

Additionally, the caregivers applying for a job at Open Door Home Care come with their own clients, they will be eligible for a one-time bonus ($500) once they are employed.

Benefits are collected on a deposit card, which may be used by an employee at his sole discretion. The money may be withdrawn at any time.

These are the standard rates ensured to the senior home care service professionals working with Open Door Home Care in all five New York boroughs and Nassau County, Westchester County, Suffolk County. Look out for the changes in employee compensation, which will most likely happen by the end of the year.

Also, beware that certified nurses and other specialists (like physical therapists or nutritionists) may receive the higher pay.
